Will Nash Project News
Creative Partnerships
Work is in progress on two new Creative Partnerships projects:
Pulling Wheelies at Ratton School in Eastbourne and Maths-But-Not-Maths at Hounsdown School in Southampton. At Hounsdown we have been developing mathematical towers and spherical structures and are now designing an Outdoor Maths Teaching Environment. At Ratton we have been mixing up Art and Science to create kinetic chain reaction sequences which will be exhibited at the Eastbourne Recycling Awareness event in June. This project is being supported by the St Philips Lane Tip in Eastbourne.
Vintage Festival at Goodwood
I am delighted to have been invited by the Vintage Festival to work with Meccano on a temporary monument to the visionary designer and inventor - R. Buckminster Fuller. We will be using over 40,000 pieces of Meccano to construct a large structure from ‘Bucky Balls’, the size and form of the structure will depend on the participation of visitors. So if you are a Meccano nut, or just curious, come on over and lend a hand. On the Sunday we will be giving the Bucky Balls away to anyone who wants one, first come first served.
Bognor Regis
I am currently working with Bognor Regis Community College, Glade Infants and Michael Ayres Junior School, West Sussex County Council, MACE project Managers, Stride Treglown Architects, Willmott Dixon Construction and Impact Art Consultants on a welcome and wayfinding project.
The project is called "You Are Here". Click here to see the project blog.
